What I have worked on: trademark searches and clearance opinions, filing applications, drafting replies to examination objections under Sections 9 and 11 of the Trade Marks Act, opposition and counter statement support, and cease and desist notices.

Key learning: most trademark disputes are won or lost long before litigation, in the quality of the search and the framing of the reply.

What it is: the rights that attach automatically to original creative work, and the paperwork that proves them.

What I have worked on: copyright and design registrations across creative and commercial works, extracting and verifying registration certificates from supporting affidavits, and research on IP ownership questions.

Key learning: ownership is a chain of documents. A single missing assignment can unsettle an entire production.

What it is: the intersection of intellectual property, contract and personality rights across film, music and streaming.

What I have worked on: diligence on audio visual credentials and IP ownership for productions associated with Zee Studios, Matchbox Pictures, Applause Entertainment and Cheese and Chalks, plus a final draft and research on posthumous and personality rights.

Key learning: in entertainment, reputation and identity are assets, and the law is still catching up to how they outlive a person.

What it is: India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework and the compliance culture forming around it.

What I am doing: developing structured knowledge of consent, data fiduciary obligations and the wider technology regulatory landscape, with attention to where data protection meets content, platforms and IP.

Key learning: data protection is quickly becoming a design question, not a legal afterthought.

What it is: the documentation and diligence behind property transactions and development projects.

What I have worked on: title certificates for Sunteck Developers on projects governed by MMRDA regulations, conveyance deeds and indenture agreements, and independent handling of documentation and compliance for transactions valued at around three crore rupees.

Key learning: precision in property drafting is the same discipline that good IP drafting demands.

What it is: the contentious side of commercial practice, from recovery to insolvency procedure.

What I have worked on: objections and compliance documents before the Debt Recovery Tribunal, filing and procedural follow ups before the NCLT, electronic filing of writs of summons before the Dindoshi Civil Court, and hands on exposure to the Bombay High Court, the Cooperative Societies Court, the Consumer Court and Lok Adalat.

Key learning: procedure is not paperwork. It is where most matters are actually decided.
